A big hug!

I did not meet Amitis yesterday, it was an official holiday here: Martin Luther King Day.
So I met her today after two days. Sure, it was hard, but Amitis made it all up. While Megan was opening the metal door, Amitis was stamping with her feet, showing her excitement, and as the door was open, she came to me with open arms, hugged me and layed her head on my shoulder. I had kneed down. We stayed like that for some time, hugging each other, and then left for my place.

The Professor and the Madman

Right now I am reading “The Professor and the Madman” by Simon Winchester. It is about the making of the Oxford English Dictionary. Beside the fact that it is about lexicography and words, it is a really exciting story and a well written and well researched book. The protagonists of the story are Dr. Murray, or the professor and Dr. Minor or the madman. I have not finished it yet, but can only recommend it.
