Amitis Wall

Published by arash under Amitis, Mountains

Today I received a message from Bahram. It reads as follows:
Quote:

ye divare, ye divare, ye divare ke poshtesh shirpala dare…….
salam
divare nasb shode, key miay ba amitis tamrin kony?

یه دیواره، یه دیواره، یه دیواره که پشتش شیرپلا داره…..

Amitis would love it.

The Moon Story

Published by arash under Amitis

I remembered what I had wanted to write the other day:

I showed Amitis the movie that I made for her. I showed her a short version of it, as most of the movie was not really useable. Too much wind, noise and shaky camera. She watched the beginning of the movie- the part I read for her out of the book- and then she understood what it was all about. She watches and listens with such a concentration. It’s amazing.
Then as we reached the moon part, she was really excited and had a smile on her face. As I grabbed after the moon in the movie, she was really happy and began clapping, as children do when they get excited. After finishing the movie I gave her the moon and she really liked it and wouldn’t let go. She said “You got it for me?” and played with it a long time.

Mission accomplished.

Home

Published by arash under Amitis

On Sunday (16.05.2004), Amitis and me were looking at pictures of Aryo and me. I had taken those with me to USA. She asked me where that was, saying something like: “This is Baba’s house?” I said: “Yes, this is Baba’s house in Iran. This is where we used to live together.” Then she asked: “Can Amitis go?” I said: “No, not now, but when you are older, we can go together.” She reassured herself that we can go and then she said: “Aryo, Baba and Amitis”
And then we spent a lot of time playing with the cards that my parents, Aryo, Arjang and Solmaz have sent her.

First Three Visits

Published by arash under Amitis

I have met with Amitis three times now. The visits have been great. On the first visit she just came to me hugging me for a long time and wouldn’t want to move from my side. Not only she knew who I was, she remembered everything and showed me the books and the flower that we had bought together last time. She had also told her mother that she wants to ride with me in the car.
